The author writes about the power of the subconscious and then states that repeating an affirmation 20 times for weeks will make that power accessible. I positivly doubt it. If I have an allergic reaction to shellfish no amount of affirming that I don't will change it. Shots or other ways of addressing the hyped up immunity might, but not affirmations. His encouragement to add "yet" to sentences when describing why something didn't work is probably the best part of the book. It keeps you open to trying something else.
