The Amazon Book Review Lessons From Walter Cronkite in the Lost Art of Gravitas Patrick White, February 19, 2018 I really enjoyed this book! The mindset of success really made me think about my actions and what they portray to others in a range of situations. It has encouraged me to reflect further on how I am accountable and responsible for what I achieve, and how this success came to be. The format of the book is easy to access and draws the reader in with unique and personal stories that you can relate to your life and previous experience. I particularly enjoyed the emphasis in the book about the importance of positivity and how it 'may not just save your career but may save your life!' Easy to read and certainly a book worth having on the leadership theory shelf. Mother/Wife/Writer/Friend + Google Calendar+ iCal Export What separates more grateful people from less grateful people? Recent evidence shows that a lot of the differences may be in how grateful people approach situations in which they’ve received some form of aid. When presented with the same short stories in which participants are told they’ve received help from another people, more grateful people tend to see their benefactors as more selfless and having exerted more effort to help, as well as placing higher value on the help they received (Wood, Maltby, Stewart, Linley, & Joseph, 2008). To further support this hypothesis, these authors sought to replicate their findings in people’s daily lives. Students kept diaries of moments in their everyday environment when they were helped by another person and then asked to rate how selfless and sincere was the benefactor, how much effort did the benefactor expend, how grateful did they feel toward their benefactor, and how valuable was the help received Findings from these random moments in everyday life supported the hypothesis that more grateful people rate all of these factors higher than less grateful people. These findings suggest that grateful people interpret events in a unique way, and this interpretation style might account for the benefits extracted from gift giving experiences. By: Millionaire Mind Publishing Those who are successful whether in business, sport or for personal aspirations all identify what they wish to achieve, believe they can realise their goals and formulate a plan so they know how they are going to achieve them and by when. Share We think that it’s time to stop ignoring our own growth — it’s time to start a personal development plan (since we can’t seem to stick to it without one) and to start taking some major steps forward within our personal evolution. This happens time and time again and it’s because people miss or don’t know about one critical stage that is needed when chasing their goals. personal development class|the best mindset for success personal development class|mindset for success gardner institute personal development class|creating a mindset for success
